Darren Palmer – Our Operations and HR Director
Darren’s career has spanned both the public and private sectors as well as a host of different business areas including local government, financial services, service & utilities and social landlords.
Having originally qualified as an Environmental Health Officer, he ultimately took on the Chief Safety Officer role at Nationwide Building Society.
Nationwide provided him with development which allowed him to gain experience in both Operational and Senior HR management roles including Head of Employee Relations and Diversity, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (HR) and Head of HR Regional Brands.
Latterly he has specialised in roles where his experience in transformation and driving organisational change has been invaluable, helping businesses seek appropriate partners to support business growth, or tackle obstacles to business performance.
Darren rejoined IPSL to support the people agenda of the ICS transformation programme and since his return, he has taken on accountability for Operations where he is currently leading a programme to create a revised target operating model (TOM) to support the principle of Lean Agile Operations.
Outside of work Darren enjoys keeping fit and is also a qualified personal trainer. He also enjoys fly fishing and has travelled the world to explore this hobby.
