Paul pushes on for his 10k target

FUND-raising supremo Paul Padmore is pushing forward on his triple challenge to raise £10,000 and not even the resurgence of an old injury can stop him. An old injury has caused him problems with training for the 127 mile kayak from Devises to Westminster. The race was set for Easter, but reluctantly he’s pushed it back to 2017. Paul is very disappointed, but still remains committed to achieving his goal. “I’d rather use this year to get myself 100% fit so that when I do go for it I’ll be confident I can complete it,” says the determined Senior Service Transition Manager. Paul remains fixed on his goal to bring in the bumper total for Children with Cancer charity by taking part in a 226 mile cycle through Snowdonia in June and the 100 mile RideLondon in July. “My goal is to raise £10,000 across the three events so I don’t need to go all out for the first one,” he says. “As long as I can achieve the fund-raising and the physical challenges within a one year time limit, I will still have achieved my goals and I’ll be happy.”
