Charities in the money

GENEROUS people at BPH, who supported fund-raising efforts during 2015, have helped to raise a total of £4,518. Ten charities benefited, with the largest donation of £1,000 going to Northampton General Hospital, £850 to Age Concern, £755 to Cynthia Spencer Hospice and £763 to Macmillan. The remainder went to a variety of local and national charities, including CRUSE Northampton, Kids Aid, Bobby More Fund, World Land Trust and Headway. There were also donations of clothes, pet food and Easter eggs for events throughout the year.

HR Manager Rebecca Noad says: “The CSR team would like to thank everyone for their support in raising money during 2015 and look forward to continued support with the charities chosen for this year.” This year’s good causes are: MIND Northampton, Animals in Need and Cynthia Spencer Hospice. “MIND Northampton is a fantastic local charity which promotes and supports mental health and so is right in line with the iPSL Wellbeing Agenda,” reveals Rebecca. “We decided to support Cynthia Spencer Hospice again as family and friends of many employees have benefited from the care it offers. As we always get a lot of support when we ask for donations for animals, Northampton charity Animals in Need, which rescues wild and domestic animals, seemed the perfect choice.”
