Meet Pam Felton, Client Services Officer

February 6, 2017 Our People

AFTER a career spanning several decades, few people have the good fortune to still love everything about their job. BPH-based Client Services Officer Pam Felton reveals why she is one of those lucky ones.

Would you change anything about your career?

No. I chose banking and I’ve spent my working life in that industry. I’m grateful to have had 32 years with Barclays, getting a great grounding in many different departments, including customer complaints. By coincidence, my last role with Barclays was in its Client Relations Team dealing with iPSL. When I literally crossed the road to begin work here I had a role reversal, joining the iPSL Client Relations Team, which meant I could make use of all of my past experience.

What do you enjoy most about the job?

I love liaising with not just the client, but also colleagues here in many different departments. I feel I have a real opportunity to make a difference and put things right and I get really positive feelings from it. I love coming to work four days a week and am still challenged by it.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

My husband Graham and I love to get out walking in the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales and we enjoy going to the theatre, musicals mostly. I definitely have the best of both worlds as I get to spend at least a day a week with my family, two children and four grandchildren.

What would you do with a lottery win?

I’d share it with my family to make their lives easier and take everyone on a big holiday.

Who would your ideal dinner guest be? What would you cook for them?

Prince Harry, as he is my favourite Royal and I would love to hear about his mother, her work and influence. I’d buy a two for £10 meal from Waitrose as I hate cooking or possibly suggest a takeaway!
