Hospice gets some true blue support

runTHE air turned blue when intrepid iPSL volunteers got stuck into their job at a colourful charity event. The enthusiastic BPH team was tasked with throwing blue paint over everyone who passed the stand at the Cynthia Spencer Hospice annual Colour Run, and they didn’t hold back. “There was quite a wind blowing so in no time at all we all looked like Smurfs,” laughs Ella Auburn, who was joined by husband Pete and iPSL colleagues Ops Expert Tracey Bovill and Processor husband Nick, Ops Expert Sharon Young, Operator Emma Ahern and Lesley Lowe from Testing. “I’ve never done anything quite like this before but it was great fun. There was a real party atmosphere and we all really enjoyed ourselves,” says Team Manager Ella, who regularly volunteers for fund-raising events. “The Hospice gave my family great support when my father was ill. It’s a wonderful organisation and I’m only too happy to help it in any way I can,” she adds. The Colour Run is one of the major fund-raisers of the year for the Northamptonshire based Hospice, which has had the support of BPH people for the past two years. “We couldn’t run these events without our volunteers and we are very grateful for all the support we have received from iPSL, which has been involved in so many of our fund-raising efforts,” says Fundraising Manager John Helm. “We raised £14,000 last year and are on track to raise around £20,000 from this event. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s support.”
